The Reality Behind the Interview #12

“The position pays $10.00 an hour. Is that OK?”
Imagination: “No. No, it’s not. I made $10 an hour working at a bookstore 15 years ago. I could barely afford to rent a couch in someone’s living room with that. I can barely afford to live rent free with my parents for that. That would barely cover my gas to make the 90 minute round trip commute. I could pretty much get that in unemployment that doesn’t require me to bore myself to tears 40 hours a week in your impossibly tiny, dirty, rickety, outdated, undecorated, unfurnished office.”
Reality: “Sure!”
